What a notary public is
In Sweden a notary public is a lawyer appointed by the county administrative board to certify signatures, copies and facts in documents, under the notary public regulation of 1982. The appointment is personal. Since 2005 the notary public is also the only authority that issues apostilles.
Who we are
The two notaries public at Apostella are appointed by the county administrative board. Law firms and banks in Sweden and abroad already work with us, from single powers of attorney to closings with dozens of signatories.
Why Apostella was started
In an increasingly global world, a deal has signatories in several countries and time zones. They need to sign in the same meeting, wherever they are, and the original needs to reach the recipient within a day or two. Apostella was started to make that ordinary.
Apostella is built for complex transactions with many parties: long opening hours, four languages, two notaries public so that the notarisation and the apostille are issued at the same time, and a courier account that is used every day.
